How I work

I build AI products for startups, from the first prototype to production. I often come in when an agent or an LLM feature has to go from a demo to real customers. Hand me a problem and I'll own it through to production: I ask the missing questions, propose a solution and ship it.

Who it's for

  • Early-stage startups, often B2B SaaS, building their product around AI.
  • Founders looking for a senior engineer they can hand a whole topic to, from the data model to the interface, without having to watch over it.
  • Teams with an AI proof of concept that works in a demo and now has to hold up in production: costs, reliability, customers' data.
  • Teams in France, Europe or the US. I work remotely, in French or English.

Three formats

Long-term embedded mission

I join your team as a senior engineer, billed by the day, full time or 2 to 3 days a week. I own my topics from spec to production and take part in architecture and product decisions.

Best when: the AI product is your product and you need to ship continuously, over several months.

Fixed-scope project

A defined scope and a fixed price. The quote sets out the deliverables, the number of days and the schedule. I deliver in stages, and you approve each deliverable before the next one.

Best when: you know what you want built: an MVP, an agent inside your product, a data pipeline.

Short audit of an agent or a proof of concept

A few days on an agent that works in a demo but not yet in production. I read the code, the prompts and the traces, look at what costs money and what breaks, and hand you a written plan, in the order I'd do it.

Best when: the agent goes off the rails, costs too much, or is about to face your customers.

What people I worked with say

“It was a pleasure working with Elie at HireSweet — both his technical efficiency and productivity (on many key features), but also his autonomy, initiative, and team spirit. Let's go Elie!!”

“Elie had a real impact at HireSweet, owning key product features end-to-end. What I appreciated most is that you could trust him on both the technical side and product understanding. Can't wait to see what's next!”

How it goes

  1. A 30-minute call

Free. You tell me about the product and the problem, and I tell you honestly whether I'm the right person.

  2. A written proposal

The format, the scope, the deliverables, the number of days and the schedule. You know what you pay and what you get before you sign.

  3. Getting started

Access to the code and the tools, and I find my own way around: I read the existing code, ask my questions in one go, then ship fast, in small pull requests.

  4. Follow-up

A written update every week: what shipped, what's blocked, what's next. Once paid for, the code and the deliverables are yours.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with my existing team?
Yes. I join your tools (Slack, GitHub, your tracker) and your rituals, and I review the team's code as they review mine. If there is no tech team yet, I work directly with the founders.
Remote only?
I work remotely from Paris, in French or English, including with US teams. Visits to your office are possible.
What about confidentiality?
My terms of service cover confidentiality during the mission and for three years after it. If you have your own NDA, I sign it as well.
What happens at the end of the mission?
The code lives in your repository from day one, with a written tech design for each major topic. At the end, I hand over to your team: what is in place, what is left to do, the known pitfalls.
Which models do you work with?
Mostly Claude, Gemini and OpenAI. I pick the model task by task, based on quality, latency and cost, and I am not tied to any provider.
